6 of 6 people found the following review helpful Strathwood planter pots., January 27, 2008 This review is from: Strathwood Basics Galvanized Steel Planters, Charcoal Finish, Set of 3 (Lawn & Patio) I bought these after reading how strong and durable they are. The large one lasted just a week-the mailman accidentally reversed over my lawn squashing the pot flat. Although metal, they are only made of sheet metal so not as strong as you would think. The main drawback is that they have no drainage holes so you have to drill in your own. On the positive side they look very attractive and are a nice size. They were certainly a bargain for the $20 I paid and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more at that price if they are available. They were double boxed, including padding between the pots, in fairly heavy hardboard. The one detraction is that they have no drainage. However, if you know someone who is handy with a drill, this will be a minor problem. My husband easily put holes in the bottoms, notwithstanding that they are fairly thick. For $18.99 for three of them, with super saver shipping, I consider these an excellent purchase for outdoor pots for my cactus. I'll find a way to make them work. I wish they were available individually as I don't need the smallest size. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? |
